SGTech Smart Nation Chapter (SNC) was successfully launched by SGTech, the trade association for the tech industry, on 24 July 2018 at ATOUT @ Dempsey. SNC was established to build up and facilitate an ecosystem of smart technology adopters and innovators through extensive industry engagement and collaboration.
The Chairman of SNC, Mr Lau Shih Hor, who is Elixir’s CEO, gave a welcome address where he outlined the chapter’s plans in fostering the growth of smart technology industries with initiatives ranging from partnerships with key agencies to networking events and grants support.
SNC’s Vice Chair, Ms Tay Bee Kheng, also Managing Director of Cisco Systems USA, shared more on key areas such as network and connectivity in the Internet of Things (IoT) system in Cisco.
Other speakers include Mr Poon Joe Keen, Managing Director, Smart City Solutions, Surbana Technologies Pte Ltd, who spoke on the collaboration model as well as concerns pertaining to sustainability and efficiency among others; as well as Mr Clarence Hoe, Director of Infrastructure Services in Enterprise Singapore who touched on the various support rendered to SNC.
